a third party being someone other than your employer or a fellow employee.
Also A C S F does not provide advance funding in cases where the injury

in their own right, i.e., for loss of services, emotional distress, or for
providing services to the child.

PLFEE provides advance funding by purchasing, from you, a lien against the
proceeds of your case. Therefore, if you get nothing as a result of your
claim or case you will owe PLFEE nothing and the money advanced is FREE.
Will I have to sign any documents?
Yes. You will sign a Lien Purchase Agreement (view sample Agreement in PDF
or view in WORD) in which you agree to
have your lawyer repay the agreed amount, from the proceeds of your case,
upon the successful conclusion of the case.
Will my lawyer be required to sign any documents?
Yes. However, by signing your attorney is ONLY agreeing to provide PLFEE
with requested information about your case AND to pay PLFEE from his/her
trust account using the proceeds of your case. Your attorney makes NO representations
as to the viability of your case and/or whether you will get any money.

Will PLFEE get paid before my lawyer?
No. PLFEE only gets paid AFTER your lawyer is paid his/her fee and costs
and AFTER any superior liens, e.g., medical bills, are paid.
Can I get more than one advance on my case from PLFEE?
Maybe. In order for PLFEE to consider making for more than one advance, something
significant must have happened with regard to your case, since the last
advance, i.e., a favorable deposition having been taken, an offer to settle
having been made, etc.
And the MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION--How much will it cost upon the successful
conclusion of my case?
While it is impossible to tell you in advance just what it will cost, we
can tell you that:
Is there a cap, that is a limit on the amount I will owe from the proceeds
of my case?
- If you do not get any money, it will cost you NOTHING.
- That the money is expensive.
- That PLFEE is competitive with the rest of the industry and generally
more than competitive (i.e., your cost is lower with PLFEE).
- The cost typically ranges between 3.75% to 5% per month,
compounded monthly, of the amount advanced, payable at the end of the
case from the proceeds of the case.
(N.B These percentages apply only when the advance is
founded in house and may not apply to founding by an affiliate company.)
PLFEE will consider putting a cap (limit) on the amount that you will owe.
Again each case is considered on an individual basis.
